• Always dry clean for the first wash. For subsequent washes, if dry cleaning is not possible, gently hand wash in cold water with soap nut or silk-suitable detergent or baby shampoo.
• Always air dry the saree in shade. Never use it in the washing machine or dryer. Never rub the sari vigorously.
• Do not store silk without dry cleaning
• Expose the silk fabrics periodically to natural atmosphere
• Use silica gel sachet or moisture absorbents in your cupboard which you use for storing silk fabrics
• Iron in medium heat only

Salammal Silks specialises in traditional handloom sarees woven by skilled weavers. Minor variations in weave, texture and finish are natural characteristics of handloom weaving and are not defects. In traditional Kanjivaram weaving, the body, border and pallu may involve specialised joining and interlocking techniques. These characteristics reflect the craftsmanship of a genuinely handwoven saree.

• Free shipping within India on orders above ₹10,000. For orders below ₹10,000, shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on volumetric weight and destination.
• For international customers, VAT, Import Duties and Local Taxes, if applicable, are borne by the customer and payable to our courier partner upon delivery.
• No returns, refunds, exchanges or cancellations will be accepted once an order is placed.
• In the unlikely event that the product is received damaged, the damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. A continuous, unedited video recording of the parcel unboxing, starting before the package is opened and continuing until the product is fully removed with the damage clearly visible, is mandatory for all damage claims.
• Damage claims made after 48 hours or without a valid unboxing video cannot be accepted. An exchange will be considered only after verification of the damage.
